THE WEDDING OF GERALDINE PILLAY

GERALDINE PILLAY & DIMITRI VIRET chose Straightway Head to host there wedding in a true Country Chic Style.  The gardens were beautifully decorated by Suzette Prins of Flower Cottage. STUNNING WORK SUZETTE - THANK YOU.  In Touch SA did an AMAZING JOB  with the décor  in the large Nomadik Tent and definately wowed all guests with their attention to detail.  THANK YOU WANDA & OLAF,  YOU ARE GREAT and fun to work with.
Thank you Ruhann, our amazing Chef de Partie who made the 10 tear chocolate mousse wedding cake.  Ruhann, brilliant work, we are all very proud of you.
Then i have to mention PETER RADA our executive chef  -  thank you for your dedication and hard work.  You have pulled it off and are defnitely the best in Somerset West.  Excellent Job!
Thanks goes out to everyone who helped to make this the wedding of the year. Your hard work and effort is much appreciated.

NEW YEARS EVE 2009

This was a celebration not easily forgotten. With the sound of the BLUE BERRY JAZZ BAND guests enjoyed our a la cart menu for the evening.  We all counted down the clock to 2010 with a nice glass of bubbly. All in all this was one great evening and a fantastic way of welcoming in the new year.

THE WEDDING OF KEDI & ALEX

Wow, what a stunning wedding this was!  All the ingredients came together perfectly to make this wedding extra special.  The Bride Kedi was dressed in a stunnig wedding dress and the fun shined through the whole bridal party with energy, beauty and charm.

RAVENSMEAD CENTRE FOR THE AGED

We had the honour to treat some of the not so fortunate elderly members of this community to a fabulous lunch at The Straightway Head Restaurant.

Our thanks goes out to Mr Kobus van Zyl  MD and Owner of Die Huisvriend Groothandel as he made this outing possible for them.

KINETO MOBILE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our in-house SANTA put smiles on a lot of little faces when he arrived with gifts for them.
Our staff decorated the outside bar lapa area by the pool to make it a little more "christmassy" for the little ones.  All the while the adults enjoyed a wonder full lunch prepared by our Chefs. After that they joined the kids at the pool for fun and games while the more adventurous engaged in a bit of electronic clay pigeon shooting in the main garden.

HAROLD ROBLES & THE CORDIA FAMILY

We had the honour recently to have Dr Harold Robles founder of MKI (Medical Knowledge Institute)  from Oostvoorne, Netherlands stay with us while visiting SA to present Desmond Tutu with an International  award on a Gala Evening in Cape Town.  Mrs Cordia opened one of Dr Robles clinics in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch during their stay.
